Queensland Institute of Medical Research - Smart State Medical Research Centre (QIMR SSMRC)
QIMR Smart State Medical Research Centre is a world-leading medical research institute that was completed in July 2011. It consisted Central Chilled Water plant feeding on floor AHU's, PC2 & PC3 laboratories, fume cupboards, medical gases and specialist laboratory equipment including steam sterilisers and washers.
When Watpac were appointed as Managing Contractors on behalf of the Queensland Institute of Medical Research to build the new 14 level Smart State Medical Research Centre adjacent to their existing facility at Royal Brisbane Hospital, BSA were their preferred HVAC contractor because of the outstanding results delivered on the Health and Food Sciences building at the Knowledge Based Research and Business campus (KBRB) in Coopers Plains.
BSA has developed a very strong track record in laboratory projects in Australia, and the QIMR project contributes to our impressive portfolio in QLD and will further reinforce our credentials in the specialised laboratory, research and science marketplace.
