Olivia Newton John Cancer & Wellness Centre
The Olivia Newton John Cancer and Wellness Centre was built over eight levels, covering approximately 24,000sqm, with its landmark design and achieved a GBCA Five Star Green Star rating. The $110m project, constructed by Leighton Contractors, is located in Heidelberg Victoria and construction started in May 2010. The ONJ Centre was completed in late in 2012, and was fully operational in January 2013.
The project was divided into 2 major milestones; Milestone 1 includes construction of a new 9 storey clinical services building and Milestone 2 involved refurbishing the existing hospital building.
The new Orange Base Hospital is a milestone project not only for the regional centre of Orange, but also for its surrounding communities. It is being built alongside the existing Bloomfield Hospital, which will also be refurbished, bringing together all facets of health care in one central location.
In 2010, Hansen Yuncken awarded the $14m mechanical service design and construct project for Orange Hospital to BSA. The design includes Chilled & Heating water AHU’s with thermally powered VAV diffusers and VRV Air Conditioning Systems in four remote buildings (Acute Mental Health, Forensic Mental Health, Administration, and Clinical Service).
